    Mark Richardson

    Founder / Curator

    Mark Richardson is industry film and television veteran from production to producing From commercials, movies and especially music videos. Starting at Propaganda a well-known production company and then landing at THE END he continues to play a significant role in role of film and tv paving the way for visual artists as they ascended into the industry. Mark has always had a love of film from photography As a kid to film as a youth To watching his childhood friends, start NWA from there he went to the local Cable station and started DA UNDERGROUND a Local hip hop cable show With James “b tip” brown from Long Beach further bridging the gaping and using it as a catalyst to further his way into the entertainment industry Following his initial success, he found initial success at a startup production company Called 5th Gear Ent with veteran producer Carl Craig and Richard Cummings Jr. Which rapidly emerged as a leading music video and commercial house on the West Coast launching many notable careers into the industry, Among other things mark has lent his skills of creative Consultant to Numerous other projects such as players club and thicker than water to name A few further solidifying his reputation as a driving force in the film industry and nurtured the talent of countless emerging artists and filmmakers.

    Torrey Antonio Crowe

    Vice President of Operations

    Torrey Antonio Crowe is an African American Artist born and raised in Compton California. He has worked as a film, music producer, music promoter, fashion designer, director and writer and is also considered a bona fide weekend warrior. He began his entertainment career at Atlantic Records with Mike Caren in the marketing and retail division and Sony Records with Hakeem Jaheemjamah in the promotions and marketing division.  He then worked at Mega Large Entertainment with Mark Richardson where they produced music videos for Queen Latifah and other artist. Torrey Antonio Crowe then launched Darkside Entertainment a music promotions company that held accounts with Leroy McMath of Power Records in Atlanta Georgia, where he covered the Los Angeles Market with promotions for Freak Nasty – Dip, Cherrell – Right Time, Mc Breed – It's All Good and the published book by Kashif "Everything You Better Know about the Music Business".  He arranged the marketing and media buy for the Los Angeles Premiere of the film Trois, working with Will Packer and Rob Hardy on their history making independent feature film that grossed over $1.2 million and became the fastest million-dollar grossing film independently distributed by African Americans.  Torrey Antonio Crowe wrote and produced Text Date a short film and a host of other production projects found on IMDB. He also managed rapper Ab-Soul prior to his signing with TDE. Torrey Antonio Crowe penned Change in Me for gospel singer Nikki Potts for the film Church. In addition to the Compton Hub City International Film Festival, he spends his time working on the Antonio Crowe show where he interviews industry legends and the Selfish Society Brand and he produced and released a salsa remix of I Miss You – Klymaxx with Joyce Irby earlier this year.

    Elisia Harkins-James

    Elisia Harkins-James, a dynamic media high school educator and the Executive Director of the Dr. Barbara Seniors Harkins Foundation, brings a wealth of creativity and passion to her students. Born in Nicosia, Cyprus and raised in the vibrant community of Homestead, Florida, she cultivated her artistic vision at the Savannah College of Art & Design, where she earned her Master's Fine Arts Degree. With extensive experience as a producer of short films, feature films, and documentaries, Elisia is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of filmmakers and storytellers through her high school Television/Film Production classes and her Non-Profit. An avid reader with a love for storytelling, she melds her diverse background and expertise to foster a rich learning environment that encourages students to explore their creativity and express their unique voices through media.

    Monica Cervantes

    Event Coordinator

    Monica Cervantes is a dedicated event professional bringing years of experience in entertainment, music, and nonprofit event coordination. From hosting high-profile red carpet events to managing press campaigns, talent relations, and large-scale fundraisers, Monica has built a reputation for execution with impact. Her background includes work with KRPR Media, Independent Artist Connect, and the American Cancer Society, where she combined creativity, advocacy, and strategic planning. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Monica is known for her passion for building community and curating unforgettable experiences. Excited to take on this new role with the Compton Film Festival, Monica is committed to elevating diverse voices in cinema and building a platform for storytellers to shine.
